Abstract
A dispersion theory for linear optical properties of two-phase layered-geom etry nanocomposites is presented. Generalized dispersion relations and sum rules are stated using the results from complex analysis. The concept of Lo rentzian linear susceptibility is exploited in theoretical treatment of the effective linear susceptibility of the nanocomposite. The meromorphism of total reflectance in the case of effective meromorphic nonlinear susceptibi lity was observed.
