Abstract
The cycloaddition of some alkynes with the tributylphosphine-carbondisulfid e adduct provides the corresponding ylide, which in situ reacts with aldehy des by the Wittig reaction process to afford novel 2-arylidene or 2-alkylid ene-1,3-dithioles in moderate yields.
