Abstract
A static minimal energy configuration of a super p-brane in a supersymmetri c (n + 1)-dimensional spacetime is shown to be a "generalized calibrated" s ubmanifold. Calibrations in E-(1,E-n) and AdS(n+1) are special cases. We pr esent several M-brane examples. [S0556-2821(99)09418-7].
