Abstract
The test mill is equipped with one roller. The material bed can be discharg ed completely after overrolling. Grinding force, torque and gap width are m easured. Cycle tests with three coals have been performed for simulating a closed circuit process. The grinding behaviour is characterized by the foll owing relations: compaction of the particle bed and specific power draft vs . specific grinding force, production of fine material (dust), circuit fact or, specific surface of the dust and specific work-input of the grinding ci rcuit vs. specific power draft.
