Abstract
In this paper, we discuss the main operating principles for the application s of amorphous glass-covered and glass removed wires based on their magneti c and magnetoelastic behavior. We also present three examples of new magnet ic sensors based on such wires for magnetic field and torsion measurements which reveal the advantages of using these wires in sensor applications.
