Abstract
The inheritance of hair loss in Irish wafer spaniels has been studied by ev aluating the inbreeding levels and genetic relationships in a group of affe cted and unaffected dogs. A detailed study of the pedigree tree of four fam ilies revealed a familial predisposition suggesting a dominant mode of inhe ritance.
