Abstract
The target polyimides, whose structures and properties (solubility, heat re sistance, and tensile strength) differ from those of the corresponding crys talline polyimides synthesized by the traditional methods, were prepared by successive cyclopolycondensation of tetracarboxylic acid dianhydrides and diamines in meltable media composed of p-nitrotoluene and benzoic acid and containing preformed cardo polyimides disserved in these media.
