Effect of K and lime application on the changes in available B content in an aeric haplaquept

A laboratory incubation study was undertaken to investigate the effect of l ime and K in presence and absence of added B on changes in availability of both native and applied B in an aeric Haplaquept. Application of K with inc reasing levels decreased the available B content in soil whereas the same i n association with lime increased available B content. Recovery of the adde d B was greater when K at lower and higher levels was combined with B at th e lower level in the presence of lime at the lower level.
