Abstract
The paper gives a theoretical and experimental investigation into the formation and transport of fluid mud. Laboratory experiments were cond ucted using two different flumes. Fluid mud was observed for various i nitial concentrations, current speeds and bed slopes. The experimental results were compared with the output of a numerical mud transport mo del as well as with relevant field results.
