Abstract
Xeroderma pigmentosum is a relatively rare systemic disease transmitted thr ough an incomplete sex-linked recessive gene. It is characterized by malign ant skin degeneration, One of the mast effective treatment choices for the malignant changes is full-face resurfacing with skin grafts. Grafts harvest ed from areas that have some freckles may show malignant degeneration by ul traviolet exposure. The authors present a patient whose face was resurfaced with a split-thickness skin graft and was admitted due to new tumor format ion on her resurfaced face.
