Abstract
A vegetable protein/oil industry waste product has afforded a value-ad ded, biodegradable, non-phytotoxic, user-friendly and import-substitut e plant growth regulator, PGR-101, and simultaneously reduced pollutio n. Compared to an imported PGR (PGR-A), the indigenous PGR (PGR-101) p romoted reproducibly higher productivity of rice, moong bean and okra.
