Abstract
Self-complementary facially amphiphilic derivatives of glycoluril are usefu l building blocks for hydrophobic self-assembly in water; we describe the d esign, synthesis and characterization of six dimeric self-assembled structu res with values of K-S up to 1840 M-1 in pD 7.4 buffered D2O.
