Polarization of the free exciton luminescence of CsPbBr3-type semiconductin
g nanocrystals of perovskite structure dispersed in CsBr:Pb crystal has bee
n observed for the first time. The polarization spectra, temperature and an
gular dependences of the degree of polarization as well as the dependence o
f polarization characteristics on size and shape of CsPbBr3 nanocrystals ha
ve been studied. The conclusions have been made about the orientation of an
isotropic CsPbBr3 nanocrystals with respect to CsBr crystal axes, the origi
n of optical transitions responsible for the exciton emission as well as ab
out the mechanism of the production of the nanocrystals in the process of t
hermally stimulated diffusion of Pb2+ ions in CsBr:Pb crystal lattice. (C)
