We introduce a mesoscopic model of phase segregation in binary fluids based
on the Vlasov-Boltzmann equations and a particle dynamics computational sc
heme that is consistent with these equations. The numerical method is a com
bination of DSMC stochastic dynamics for the short range collisions and PIC
deterministic evolution for the smooth long range interactions which allow
s the simulation of systems with millions of particles. This approach allow
s a detailed study of phase segregation kinetics in binary fluids and is ve
ry efficient even in the presence of externally imposed fields or hydrodyna
