Abstract
Different aspects of child abuse are reviewed. Issues include changes in th e prevalence of child abuse throughout the years, characteristics of the pe rpetrators, physical findings, impact of the medical examination on the leg al system, accuracy of children's report, attribution of responsibility by external observers, and child abuse as a predictor of psychopathology.
