Abstract
A novel heterometallic aggregate Pb2Al5(mu(3)-O) (mu(4)-O) (mu-OiPr)(9)(OiP r)(3)(mu-OAc)(3) obtained from the interaction of Pb(OAc)(2) and Al(O-iPr)( 3) is the first structurally characterized example based on lead and alumin um. This compound has been isolated in high yield and examined by H-1-, C-1 3-, and Al-27 NMR, and in the solid state by X-ray crystallography.
