Abstract
Following our studies on styryl phthalocyanines with extended conjugation, we report here the synthesis and characterization of new push-pull unsymmet rically substituted styryl phthalocyanines 2-6. They have been prepared for studying the influence of the position and electronic character of the sub stituents and the role of the central metal atom on their optical propertie s.
