Abstract
The structural properties and porosity of a gamma-alumina sample prepared b y the hydrothermal treatment of powdered aluminum were investigated using t echniques of nitrogen adsorption, mercury porosimetry, and electron microsc opy. The information available from each technique is used to present a mor e complete picture of the three-dimensional pore structure of this sample, in terms of size, shape, distribution, crystallographic orientation and acc essibility of pores.
