Pm. Nedorezova et Vi. Tsvetkova, THE EFFECT OF THE DISPERSION OF GRAPHITE AND BORON-NITRIDE ON THE PROPERTIES OF POLYMERIZATION-FILLED COMPOSITIONS BASED ON POLYPROPYLENE, Vysokomolekularnye soedinenia. Seria A, 39(3), 1997, pp. 462-467
The effect of the dispersion of graphite and boron nitride on the mech
anical, electrophysical, and friction properties of polymerization-fil
led polypropylene-graphite and polypropylene-(boron nitride) compositi
ons was studied. It was shown that a dramatic decrease in the dimensio
ns of filler particles changes the properties of the composite materia
l: strength increases, plasticity and anisotropy decrease, stability t
o thermooxidative degradation increases, and friction properties are i
mproved. The above phenomena are related to an increase in adhesion in
teraction between filler particles and the polymer matrix.
