Abstract
Calorimetry was used to determine the heats of interaction between met hylcellulose and poly(vinyipyrrolidone) in their blends of various com positions. A strong adhesive interaction between the components was di scovered in the blends with a high content of poly(vinylpyrrolidone). In contrast, this interaction is virtually absent in the blends rich i n methylcellulose.
