From different conceptions to possible solutions. The efficient combination of geological mapping and remote sensing

Three case studies (Zinda Pir Anticline, Pakistan; Western Yunnan Grabens, P.R. China; southern Lower Saxony, ER. Germany) are presented to exemplify that the combination of traditional field investigations with geological im age interpretation is a powerful tool to provide effectively geodynamic dat a often far beyond the results of traditional geological survey. The techno logical display is less important than the ability and the profound geologi cal-geomorphological training of the analysts.
