Abstract
The use of polychromatic sequential light pulses in particle streaking and tracking velocimetry is proposed. The main advantage of this technique is t he easy determination of the velocity direction, even in recycling flows. T he method has been validated on a hydrodynamic flow, in the wake of a conve ntional cylindrical model. (C) 1999 Published by Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
