Abstract
Hearing aid fittings for children under the age of 1 year provide many chal lenges to the audiologist. This article offers guidelines for assessment, h earing aid selection, verification, and follow-up for infants with hearing loss. The importance of early intervention and the consideration of new tec hnologies are emphasized in this article. Case studies illustrate various a spects of infant hearing aid fittings.
