Using a rational R-matrix associated with the 4 x 4 defining matrix represe
ntation of c(2) congruent to sp(4), the Lie algebra of Sp(4), a one-site op
erator solution of the associated Yang-Baxter algebra acting in the Fock sp
ace of two harmonic oscillators is derived. This is used to define N-site i
ntegrable systems, which are soluble by a version of the algebraic Bethe an
satz method without nesting. All essential aspects of the work generalise d
irectly from c(2) to c(n). (C) 1999 Published by Elsevier Science B.V. All
