The annihilation channel (p) over bar p --> K+K- pi(o) in liquid hydrogen a
t rest has been studied with the Crystal Barrel detector at LEAR. The measu
red branching ratio is: BR((p) over bar p --> K(+)K(-)pi(o)) = (2.37 +/- 0.
15) x 10(-3). A partial wave analysis shows that this reaction is dominated
by the pi(K (K) over bar)(s), KK*(892) and pi phi(1020) intermediate state
s. Weak signals are observed for pi a(2)(1320), pi f(2)(1270), pi f'(2)(152
5) and K(K pi)(s). A satisfactory description of the Dalitz plot requires t
he introduction of pi(K (K) over bar)(p) intermediate states with at least
