A simple modification of the Suzuki formula for calculating thermal expansi
vity yields a useful description for expansivity that does not suffer from
numerical difficulties when extrapolated to high temperatures, yet yields i
dentical values to the Suzuki formula at low temperatures. The traditional
Suzuki formula parameters may be used with this method with errors of 0.5%
or lower in temperature ranges encountered in planetary inferiors. (C) 1999
