Abstract
Co-adsorption of an anion and a low-adsorbing cation is analyzed within the Alekseev-Popov-Kolotyrkin model supplemented by two virial isotherms (APK2VI). In the case of a high attractive interaction of specifically adsorbed anions and cations, the condition \dE(q = 0)/dlnc/ > RT/F is insufficient to confirm the Esin-Markov effect. The drawback of APK+2VI is in the existe nce of a potential range where the system of isotherms has no solution.
