Reactions between mixed phosphorous acid esters containing P-N, P-S and P-N
, P-O bonds with Cu(I) halides yield a series of new P,S,N,O-containing met
al complexes. Phosphoroamidothioite complexes are unstable and easily dispr
oportionate in the metal coordination sphere to give stable compounds conta
ining symmetrical phosphorotrithioite and phosphorous triamide ligands. The
structure of the compound (EtS)(2)PNE2 . CuBr was studied by X-ray diffrac
tion. In this complex monodentate coordination via phosphorus and bidentate
coordination via phosphorus and sulfur are observed simultaneously.
