Abstract
Polythermal study of the solubility reveals that the higher solubility of a cetylferrocene in water relative to that of ferrocene (-logS at 25 degrees C 1.75 and 4.16, respectively) is due to the entropy factor. The solubility of acetylferrofene at 25 degrees C is determined in aqueous 1:1 electrolyt es taken in concentrations of 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, and 4.0 M. Chlorides (LiC l, NaCl, KCl, and NH4Cl), bromides (LiBr, NaBr, and KBr), and potassium nit rate salt-out acetylferrocene from solutions in direct proportion to the el ectrolyte concentration. In solutions of LiClO4, NaClO4, LiNO3, and NH4NO3 (but not NaNO3) salting-in of acetylferrocene is observed (concentration de pendences for these electrolytes are curvilinear).
