Abstract
Platinum(0)-catalyzed diboration of methylenecyclopropanes with bis(pinacol ato)diboron [(Me4C2O2)B-B(O2C2Me4)] in toluene selectively provided the cor responding 2,4-bis(boryl)-1-butene and its analogs in good yields through t he cleavage of the proximal bond of the cyclopropane ring.
