Abstract
(-)-4-Aza-4-deoxypodophyllotoxin (4) was synthesized from (-)-podophyllotox in (1) through C-ring cleavage, Curtius rearrangement and intramolecular N- alkylation. Analogue 4 showed potent cytotoxicity against P388 leukemia cel ls. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
