Computer-generated still images composited with panned/zoomed landscape video sequences

We present a novel approach to composited panned/zoomed landscape video seq uences (VSs) at a reasonable cost. The VSs are well matched with photoreali stic computer-generated (CG) still images of large-scale construction proje cts. The CG images are well harmonized with panned/zoomed VSs at any time o f day and in various weather conditions. A precise panorama composited from VS images is created. This approach copes with varying exposure levels due to the camera's changing field of view and eliminates any geometrical dist ortion. Our software tracks camera parameters without any extra equipment s uch as an elaborate camera controller.
