Abstract
Current routine histopathologic methods may fail in detecting lymph node mi crometastases, while the introduction of newer, sensitive techniques, such as immunohistochemistry and molecular analysis, can improve their detection . The literature reveals that the presence of micrometastases has clinical and prognostic implications.
