Abstract
This paper considers the problem of H-infinity filtering for nonlinear samp led-data systems. Sufficient conditions are obtained for the existence of f ilters that guarantee the L-2 gain from an exogenous input: to an estimatio n error is less than or equal to a prescribed value. These conditions are e xpressed in terms of both continuous and discrete Hamilton-Jacobi equations . (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
