Abstract
A simple method for the separation and isolation of the water-soluble polys accharides of brown algae (i.e., laminarans, fucoidans and alginates, respe ctively) based on hydrophobic chromatography has been developed. In additio n, the fractions containing unusually low-sulfated polysaccharides have bee n isolated by the new procedure. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
