A. Lamiri et al., Off-line coupling liquid chromatography and capillary gas chromatography-mass spectrometry for ultratrace determination of Deltamethrin in mint oil, CHEM ANAL, 44(6), 1999, pp. 977-984
Analysis of the pyrethroid Deltamethrin in mint oil was achieved at 10 ng g
(-1) level by off-line coupling liquid chromatography (HPLC) and capillary
gas chromatography (CGC). Both LC and GC conditions are discussed. Mass spe
ctrometry (MS) was used as detection system for the gas chromatographic ana
lysis, The single ion monitoring (SIM) mode was chosen, in order to enhance
on selectivity and sensitivity. Simultaneous monitoring of three mass chan
nels and calculation of the respective intensity ratios allows structural c
onfirmation. Attempts for replacing the LC fractionation step by SPE fail.
