The aim of this work was isolation from water and the determination of PAHs
, which are the most dangerous for human health. It was done by the use of
solid phase extraction and planar chromatography with densitometric detecti
on. Planar separations were performed using HPTLC impregnated with caffeine
. Standards and samples were applied to the chromatographic plates by Nanom
at, and then developed with dichloromethane in horizontal chamber. Limits o
f detection of six PAHs were evaluated as well as their quantitation by mea
ns of a densitometer was performed.
