Evaluating consequences of agricultural policy measures in an integrated economic and environmental model system

This article presents an integrated model system (DIAS - Danish Integrated Environmental Assessment System) for Danish agriculture and the derived env ironmental effects, here restricted to nitrogen loading of the inner Danish marine waters. The system can clarify both economic and environmental cons equences of agricultural and environmental policy measures. Calculations ha ve been made of the effects of a 10% fall in cereal prices on nitrogen inpu ts to the Danish marine waters, as well as effects on the national economy.
