A. Sanmatias et al., Surface modification of graphite plus polymer composite and ITO electrodesby Nafion (R) plus cupromeronic phthalocyanine films, ELECTR ACT, 45(4-5), 1999, pp. 797-808
The surface of indium tin oxide (ITO) and graphite + polymer composite elec
trodes can be modified by Nafion(R) films containing a little amount of dis
persed electroactive substances, such as phthalocyanines. This procedure al
lows the recovery of electroanalytical information on the electroactive dep
osited substance. The preparation methods for these types of modified elect
rodes are discussed from the voltammetric results obtained in this work. Th
e Nafion(R) net acts as a permeable membrane to the hydrogen ions. Furtherm
ore. the presence of methylviologen within the Nafion(R) film makes the ele
ctron transport throughout this membrane easy. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Lt
