The past years are characterized by a tremendous gain of knowledge in the f
ield of health and nutrition research, not included in traditional weight r
eduction programmes. The study therefore, aims at drafting, testing and eva
luating of a new pedagogic concept of how to reduce overweight under health
-promoting aspects. In part 1, a concept of how to advise overweight patien
ts is presented which takes the many psychic and social aspects of the eati
ng behaviour into account. In part 2, evaluation of the programme and the r
esults obtained are described.
