Abstract
Partial Degradation of the New exo-Heterodisubstituted Carborane Derivative s with d(10) Transition Metal Ions (Cu, Au) Reaction of the closo heterodis ubstituted [1-PPh2-2-SR-1,2-C2B10H10] compounds with d(10) transition metal complexes, [MCl(PPh3)(n)] (M = Cu, n = 2; M = Au, n = 1), in ethanol affor ds the complexes [M(7-PPh2-8-SR-7,8-C2B9H10)(PPh3)(n)] (M = Cu, Au). The cr ystal structure of [Au(7-PPH2-8-SBz-7,8-C2B9H10)(PPh3)] displays a linear g eometry where the carborane ligand coordinates the Au(1) just through the p hosphino group.
