Abstract
Phase relations in the CaTiO3-La4Ti3O12 system were studied between 1200 de grees C and liquidus temperatures. The compound La4CaTi4O15 melts congruent ly at 1750 degrees C, and its homogeneity range at 1600 degrees C is as bro ad as similar or equal to 12 mol % La4Ti3O12. La4Ca2Ti5O18 is stable up to similar or equal to 1530 degrees C, where it transforms to a perovskite sol id solution homogeneous in the range 15-45 mol % La4Ti3O12 at 1600 degrees C. The CaTiO3-La4Ti3O12 phase diagram was constructed with the use of data on the La4CaTi4O15-La2Ti2O7-La2TiO5 system.
