Abstract
The Electrochemically Stimulated Conformational Relaxation (ESCR) mode l has been applied to simulate voltammetric responses of polypyrrole f ilms previously submitted to high cathodic potentials for long times. Large anodic oxidation overpotentials (>200 mV) and fast switching rat es, linked to a strong compactation of the polymeric structure by cath odic polarization, are predicted by the model fitting experimental res ults.
