Abstract
We report on the fabrication of a gas sensing device based on a polyan iline/silicon hybrid field effect transistor. The organic layer is inc orporated in a hole in the gate metallisation. On application of a gat e voltage, a delay is observed in the response of the drain current, c haracteristic on the gas ambient. Results are presented showing how th is turn-on delay depends on the relative humidity.
