Abstract
Selective electrodeposition of polypyrrole using a STM tip as the coun ter electrode has been examined to establish an ultra fine processing. The electrodeposition is performed on a highly oriented pyrolytic gra phite coated with the ionically conducting polymer of Nafion consistin g of monomer and electrolyte. Spots of conducting polymers less than h undreds nm, which depends on the polarity of deposition voltages, are observed by STM image.
