Abstract
Spiro[5,5]undecane-3-one 1 was converted to 4,7-dihydrospiro[benzo[d]thiazo le-6(5H), 1'-cyclohexane]-2-amine 3, which is condensed with bromomethyl (h alo)phenyl ketones and cyclized to compounds 5a-5c, The X-ray crystallograp hy of the 5b reveals that formation route for 5 is via 3-position-substitut ed-spiroiminothiazole 4.
