Ma. Girtu et al., THE INFLUENCE OF DISORDER ON THE MAGNETIC PHENOMENA IN METALLOPORPHYRIN-BASED MAGNETS, Synthetic metals, 85(1-3), 1997, pp. 1703-1704
We investigate the effects of disorder in the quasi-one-dimensional me
talloporphyrin family of molecule-based magnets. These materials are e
lectron transfer salts consisting of linear chains of alternating S=2
Mn-III-porphyrin donors and S=1/2 bridging accepters. Studies of the i
rreversibilities, and frequency dependence of the ac magnetic suscepti
bility suggest a cluster glass-like behavior in certain compounds at l
ow temperatures. The role of the intercalated solvent and its relation
to any disorder present in the compounds are discussed.
