Abstract
Dynamic hemivariational inequalities are studied in the present paper. Star
ting from their solution in the distributional sense, we give certain exist
ence and approximation results by using the Faedo-Galerkin method and certa
in compactness arguments. Applications from mechanics (viscoelasticity) ill
ustrate the theory.
