Abstract
For the use in pharmacokinetic studies, a fast and sensitive assay method w as developed for the determination of remifentanil in human heparinised who le blood samples of 0.5 mi. The assay method is based on tandem mass spectr ometry detection (LC-MS/MS). The limit of quantification is 0.1 ng/ml and l inear up to 50 ng/ml. The precision, accuracy, recovery and applicability w ere found to be adequate for pharmacokinetic studies. (C) 1999 Elsevier Sci ence B.V. All rights reserved.
