Abstract
Moxidectin is a macrocyclic lactone of the milbemycin family used in veteri nary medicine for the prevention and treatment of endoparasitism in horses and dogs. Moxidectin intoxication can cause various abnormal neurologic manifestation s, including ataxia, weakness, lethargy, stupor, coma, seizures, and respir atory arrest. Intensive supportive care may be necessary for a dog to recover from moxide ctin intoxication.
